Peanut burger is a snack that is also known as Coated Peanut or Peanut Snack. It is a very popular snack among Nigerians.
It’s prepared using dried groundnut also known as peanut, flour etc.
It can be prepared for home consumption or for commercial purpose. Eggs are also used, just the egg white is needed.
The preparation takes time but who cares about time when you are getting a great outcome.
The groundnut is coated with flour mixed with other ingredients which you will soon get to find out.
Peanut burger has a sweet taste and also has a crunchy feeling while you eat it.
After the peanut burger has been prepared, if you plan to leave it for a while, keep in a place where it will get enough air.
After coating, start frying immediately to avoid the coated peanut to melt because of heat.

- 3 cups of Dried Groundnut
- 3 cups of Flour
- 83ml or 1/3 cup of Powdered Milk
- 83ml or 1/3 cup of Sugar
- 1 cap of liquid vanilla flavor
- 4 Eggs
- Pinch of Salt
- Vegetable Oil

The first thing to do is to pick out the bad or rotten groundnut then turn into a bowl.
Wash the groundnut and spread it to dry very well.
When all dried up, pack into a deep and wide bowl.
Sieve the flour into a bowl.
Add the powdered milk, salt and mix well. Then set aside.
Break the eggs and add just the egg white into the bowl.
Whisk the egg a bit, add the sugar and mix very well.
Add the vanilla flavor, mix well and allow for a while so that the sugar can all melt.
Then the coating process begins.
When the sugar is all melted, first of all, add two spoons of the sugar and egg mixture. Shake well so that it goes all round. Sprinkle a little flour and shake well.
Add a tablespoon of the sugar and egg mixture and shake well before adding flour and shaking again.
Keep repeating the step above till the groundnut is all coated with the flour.
When it gets sticky under the bowl, touch the flour with your hand and drag the sticky ones out. Sprinkle some flour and shake.
Set a pot on heat and add vegetable oil. Allow to heat up.
Now fetch the raw coated peanut and add to the oil on heat.
Stir well for a while to avoid burning under.
Mix with time and allow to fry till golden brown before packing out of the oil.
Allow to cool down before serving.
