
So today, I will be telling you how to make Nigerian salad also known as coleslaw, Cabbage salad.
This is known as the local Nigerian salad. You might have noticed it before in the market or roadside being pushed on wheel barrows by hawkers.
The recipe for cabbage salad is Grounded Kuli Kuli, Onion etc.
You will get to find out the rest of the ingredients soon. I added some tomatoes to the salad but it is not compulsory.
The salad can be eaten as it is or can serve as an appetizer.

So, let’s begin.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 medium size cabbage
- 2 cups of grounded kuli kuli
- 1 medium size Onion
- 2 pieces of fresh tomatoes (optional)
- 1 medium size cucumber
- 5 pieces of pepper
- 2 seasoning cubes
- Salt
PREPARATION
Nicely chop the cabbage, add salt and water to the cabbage.

Allow it rest for 10 minutes before washing thoroughly.
Pack the washed cabbage in a basket and allow the water to completely drain.

Wash and nicely chop the cucumber, onion and tomatoes in cubes and set aside.

Turn the grounded kuli kuli in a mortar, add the pepper in the mortar and pound till the pepper is grounded and well mixed with the kuli kuli.
Turn the drained cabbage in a dry bowl.

Add in the chopped onion, tomatoes and cucumber.

Add the seasoning cubes and salt to taste.

And finally, add the grounded kuli kuli and mix very well.
And your cabbage salad is ready to be served.
